Life is Full of Cracks

It’s been a while. I have to admit that the pandemic slowed my communication.

Know that I have not been idle. I’ve been studying, taking online classes. I am even almost finished with my certification for Bones for Life®. (BFL)

Bones for Life is an exercise program created by Ruthy Alon as a natural movement-based alternative for improving bone health and preventing osteoporosis. It is based on the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. The uniqueness, and where it differs from the Feldenkrais Method is that the BFL program uses of weight-bearing patterns to teach safe transmission of force through the skeleton, without causing shearing stress in vulnerable joints. Ruthy was one of Dr Feldenkrais’s original students and a master trainer of the Feldenkrais Method.

I am very excited about this, and, I am back. I have been teaching online Awareness Through Movement® classes throughout the pandemic but now I am happy to share that I am teaching an in person class through the Westchester Senior Center. Westchester Recreation CenterIt is at the Westchester Recreation Center.
Registration is limited due to safety precautions. Registration is through the center. You can email or call at 310 670-7473,  or email at Westchester.recreationcenter@lacity.org
Feel free to contact me at hello@bethrubenstein.com with questions. Or call at 310 422-5235. Class will be November 5 – December 17. 10:00 AM – 11:30. We will take a break for Thanksgiving weekend but please be sure that you can attend all classes

And……Our Walking Club is also back. We’ll meet at the playground at the park at 8:00am Fridays. We will walk in safe areas.

I have heard so many say, “I don’t walk in Westchester because of cracks and disrepair in the sidewalks.”
Well, I say, Are you going to let cracks stop you from taking care of yourself? Seeing friends? Forming new relationships? Spending an hour with me and Cristina, from the center.

We need to learn how to pay attention, be aware, feel strong enough to conquer the cracks.

We will not be stopped in our quest for wellness from cracks. Right?

Join us. Just show up Friday morning at 8, at the beautiful, safe, clean playground at Westchester park.

Feel free to call Cristina with any questions 310 670-7473.

Be an Expert on You. Don’t let the cracks keep you down.
I hope to see you both at our new Bones for Life® clas and at the Walking Club.  By the way….. both of these are free.  Donations are welcome for snacks and water.

Keep Moving,
Beth

PS, I am also continues my ATM classes either on line or in person.
