Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

Hello,

Are you finding yourself behind? Chronologically,(time change challenged),  activity level, not as strong as you used to be? Not as present as you were, a bit of brain fog?

I can say that for one who is chronically and genetically on time, I am having a problem. I seem to be an hour late for everything. My thinking is clouded because I am still in Pacific Standard Time.  I am even late writing about a time change that happened 10 days ago.

How about you? Are you reexamining your activities, your balance, your strength, your abilities?

I will tell you, although I am concerned, I am good.  Now that I am approaching 71 years old and realize that I truly am a Senior I also realize that I feel pretty good. I do pushups daily. Yes, on the floor. I get up and down from the floor many times a day. I do knee bends daily and I am building up the repititions of both.

If it weren’t for that hour of sleep I’m losing daily, waking up in the dark, I would be feeling even more capable and strong.

How do I cope? At this time two years ago at this time I began a new training. It took me a year and a half and now I am a Certified Bones for Life® teacher as well as a Feldenkrais Practitioner® and assistant trainer of the Feldenkrais Method.  I am still moving, learning, taking chances. In spite of my complaints, I am loving life.  I move, forward, back, up and down. I turn around, jump, hop, roll, lengthen, and shorten.

I feel confident and competent, in myself.

I am an expert on me.  I ask questions, get my “ducks in a row” and move forward. I eat well, I sleep (pretty) well, I move well, and I balance on the earth well.

How about you? Many of you are just like me, active, in control of your life.  But, how can we stay this way as we age? How do we grow?

I love my work and play with the Feldenkrais Method.® I learn to be aware of myself, my habits, what is working for me and what is not.

I am thrilled with my Bones for Life® work. I feel and will keep working to keep my skeleton, bones, strong and able to hold me up.

I would like to share this with you.  Contact me for more information- hello@bethrubenstein.com   Find out about my classes and how you can learn along side of me.

I have an ongoing class on Tuesday’s from 10:30 AM to 11:30.

I will be starting a new Awareness for Movement® class on Wednesdays at 12:00 to 1: PM.  This class is for beginners or people with pain, balance issues, weakness. It is a bit less strenuous than my Tuesday class.  This is a great place to start this work.

Although the learning and change from both the Feldenkrais Method® and Bones for Life® is substantial it is very slow and gentle. The change that you feel in these methods will help you with whatever exercise plan you would like to do. Do you walk for exercise, yoga, pilates, lift weights? This somatic approach will help you with your exercise regimen.

Contact me if you are interested, or to chat.
